- We have done months of testing to bring you our most popular dishes, and your comments are always welcome.

What types of meals are there?
Good Measure Meals offers three basic types of meal selections (all of our meals are heart-healthy and diabetic-friendly):
1) Our Healthy Balance option -- the cornerstone of our offerings -- features a little bit of all the best variety in fresh flavors and lean proteins. Our Healthy Balance meals represent a little personality and flair from each of the food-loving members of our team. Depending on the season, you may see breakfast tacos, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, beef stir fry, or a classic turkey sandwich – each re-imagined to be healthier and tastier.
2) Our Vegetarian option features creative recipes and plant-based proteins that take center stage with the freshest produce of the season. We love developing menus for our notoriously adventurous vegetarian friends. Whether you love Red Peanut Curry, Raspberry Pancakes, or Falafel with Tzatziki sauce, our meals highlight the best of each season’s flavors.
3) Our Rx meals include mechanical soft and renal options for those with chronic conditions or other health issues who can benefit from eating delicious meals that also meet their condition-specific nutrition criteria. Our home delivery makes it easy and convenient for anyone who may be challenged by shopping, preparing and enjoying meals that are most appropriate for their chronic conditions.
Can I eat these meals if I have a food allergy?
If you have a life-threatening food allergy, we cannot guarantee that there will be no cross-contamination, and therefore do not recommend you use our meals in your health journey.
However, we will offer you the ability to set dietary preferences so that you can exclude added nuts, shellfish or other items from your menu selections. But again, please note that your meal will be prepared in the same kitchen where these items may be present.
How long will my meals keep?
After our meals are prepared they are packed with that day’s date and frozen. Frozen meals can be enjoyed within 6 months of pack date printed on the meal cover for best quality.
Is Good Measure Meals a diet?
Though our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists would prefer that we not use the term "diet", Good Measure Meals can help promote weight loss. Since our meals are calorie- and portion-controlled, they can definitely help you meet your individual needs and goals. But in fact, we are the opposite of a diet. We are all about balance and moderation.
It is our hope that you'll use our meals as a tool to help you learn a healthy, balanced way of eating that is sustainable for you over the long haul.
Do you have a plant-based or vegan menu?
We have a large variety of vegetarian options to choose from. We have lacto-ovo vegetarian options (includes milk and eggs), but we do not have vegan options in our meal selection.

When will I be charged?
Your account will be charged three business days prior to delivery.
Please note: You may see a preauthorization on your credit card account when you initially enter your credit card info (even if you don't actually submit an order at that time). This is only to confirm the that the credit card information is valid and does not actually charge your card. When you place your order, the actual charge will show up as a preauthorization also, but will then convert to a regular charge three business days prior to your delivery.
Can I temporarily stop my meals?
Our service is very flexible. If you need to skip a week of meals for any reason, you'll be able to access your account portal and skip the week or weeks (at least 3 business days prior to delivery) that you would rather not receive meals.
Can I place a one-time order?
Yes, now with choosing one-time order you can order for one single week.
How do I cancel my order?
If you need to cancel your order for any reason, you'll be able to access your account portal and cancel your order. Do so at least 3 business days prior to delivery, to avoid an unwanted credit card charge.
How do I add or remove meals from my order?
Changing the number of meals in your order is simple as 1-2-3! From your account portal, add new order, choose your new number of meals and continue on with the order process. Once back at your account portal: Cancel your current order, after you receive your delivery. We don’t want you to miss out on any meals!
Will I be able to gift meals to someone?
While Gift Certificates will not be available as we relaunch GMM, you are more than welcome to place an order for a friend, family member, or co-worker to help them in their health journey or simply give them a break from the kitchen with fresh healthy meals. We'll take good care of them.
What’s new for returning customers?
Delivery is now free and directly to your home or office within our delivery area. Your meals are delivered once per week. To achieve this one-time delivery, we prepare them fresh in our kitchen and freeze them. This also allows you to enjoy meals up to 6 months after the packing date shown on the meal.
When and how often are my meals delivered?
Meals will be delivered once per week (Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM). You just select the day that is most convenient for you.
Is there a separate delivery fee?
No! Delivery is free with your order if we are able to delivery to your zip code and we can park our delivery van for free and deliver to your door or designated drop-off spot (such as a concierge).
Can I get my meals delivered to whatever address I want?
The short answer is YES! Our new delivery option will be available for all metro Atlanta zip codes...and some beyond the metro area. Those deliveries will be made once a week to make it easy on you. Deliveries will be made on the day of your choice Monday - Fridays between 8am and 5pm. But the delivery vehicle must be able to park for free (loading dock, driveway, etc.) and get to your front door or designated drop-off location.
What if I am not going to be around when my meals are delivered?
If you are not available during delivery hours, your meals will be left on your front door. Since they are packed with dry ice, the meals will stay at a safe temperature for up to 12 hours.
How do I heat my meals?
When meals arrive, place meals you plan to enjoy within 48 hours in the refrigerator and place all remaining meals in the freezer for safekeeping (meals don’t have to be defrosted in the refrigerator, but will reheat more easily).
Heat in the microwave in 30 second increments until food reaches 165°F and is steaming hot (usually 1 – 4 minutes). Click here for detailed instructions.
Preheat to 350 degrees F. Remove meal from tray and place in an oven safe dish and heat until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F, typically 5—15 minutes. Stir halfway through to ensure even heating. Covering food may also assist with even cooking and retaining moisture. Click here for detailed instructions.

Can I recycle the packaging materials?
Cardboard, liners, clean plastic trays & film may be picked up via curbside recycling. If not, we recommend using Live Thrive’s Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM). Just be sure to rinse and dry your plastic trays & film, and collect them for drop-off or pickup. CHaRM is located at 1110 Hill Street SE, Atlanta, GA 30315, and open for drop-offs on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, by appointment only. Our Social Impact
What is Good Measure Meals?
Good Measure Meals™ is a social enterprise of and is owned by Open Hand Atlanta, Inc. a nationally recognized nonprofit nutrition agency. Good Measure Meals™ offers healthy meals and nutrition education/coaching to its customers, with 100% of our net proceeds going to help support Open Hand Atlanta’s community nutrition programs.
Since 2005, Good Measure Meals has provided sound nutrition in freshly-prepared, ready-to-eat meals that help you meet your individual health and wellness goals, manage your weight or a chronic health condition such as diabetes or hypertension. What's more, we provide the ability to eat in a healthy way without all of the time required to plan, shop, prep, cook and clean.
What is a Social Enterprise?
Social enterprises can take many forms: non-profit, for-profit, or a hybrid model. Social enterprises use these business models to provide goods or services that are focused on creating solutions for some of the world’s toughest social and environmental problems --helping to drive innovation and encourage transformative change on a broader level.
Social enterprises aim to maximize social impact, whereas business enterprises aim to maximize profit.
The primary differentiator between traditional non-profits and social enterprises is the funding model: Non-profits typically earn revenue from grants and donations, whereas social enterprises earn revenue from selling a product or service.
Good Measure Meals is a social enterprise which has a hybrid business model. We sell meal plans, but 100% of our net proceeds go directly to Open Hand Atlanta.
